Hi everyone. As a student of the profession, it appears I may hold claim to being the first student post!

I'm certification at UVIC at the moment.

And your blog is working - I only found out this organization existed when I found the blog linked from some other blog.

I've been reading up, and curious to know what you guys think of 5W.

I expect to work as a practioner for a PR firm, or consultant and that agency appears to be rocking the boat!

The Canadian Council of PR Firms has launched a blog as part of its own PR program to spread the word of its existence and mandate. (They even have a section for job postings. If that stays current, that’ll drag in the readers for sure!).

A welcome addition to the Canadian PR firmament. I’m looking forward to polishing my understanding of the issues on the agency side of public relations. Consider me subscribed!

Hello Earl,

Ouch. You are absolutely right. I should have caught those errors. Thanks for picking them up. They are corrected now.

Let that be a lesson to me! :-)

As chair of the Canadian Council of Public Relations Firms I hope that our blog encourages open and honest discussion of our industry. We believe that we are not only having a positive impact on our clients' communications initiatives, but also on their business.

We've got lots of issues to tackle, but we're also helping to cut through the clutter to deliver important information. Let's keep talking.
